From scope to record

How do you track extra work on a remodeling project?

Start with the original contract amount and keep each requested change attached to that project. A clear scope, itemized price, and saved customer decision give your team a practical record to reference as the work progresses.

  1. 1. Price the requested change

Add quantities, unit prices, scope details, and the expected schedule impact. Save the draft with its version number before sharing it.

  2. 2. Share the exact scope

Send the private approval link through your usual customer conversation. The customer reviews the saved version and records approval or requests a revision.

  3. 3. Follow the project totals

Review approved changes, preserve earlier decisions, and mark amounts as billed after handling invoicing through your existing process.

Product questions

How does ExtraDocket fit your workflow?

What is ExtraDocket?

ExtraDocket is change order software for remodeling contractors and small construction teams. It brings priced extra work, customer decisions, revision history, and billed amounts into a project workspace operated by San Clemente Media.

How do customer approvals work?

Save a draft and create a private customer link for that scope version. The customer reviews the scope and amount, enters a name, and confirms consent to record a decision. Links expire after seven days and can be closed by the contractor. Approval records document the submitted decision and exact version. Your construction agreement determines the contractual meaning of that record.

What happens when the scope changes again?

Create a new version while preserving the earlier approval. The earlier approved amount remains in the project total during revision. Once the customer approves the revised version, its amount replaces the prior amount in the current total. The version history preserves the sequence of decisions.

What does the Solo plan cost?

Solo costs $39 USD per month. Create an ExtraDocket account, verify your email, and subscribe through secure Stripe checkout. An active paid subscription unlocks project tools. Your subscription starts at checkout and renews monthly. Manage payment details and cancellation in the customer billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

How do I create my account and start Solo?

Choose Get Solo, enter your email, and open the verification link from ExtraDocket. Your account comes first. Complete the $39/month Stripe subscription to unlock projects and change orders. Returning customers use Sign in. The billing page remains available to manage renewal and cancellation.
